Show NotesĀ

Today is a fun show because we have back our good friend, Terry Hershey. As many listeners know, Terry is the author of 17 books, acclaimed public speaker, teacher, and, what I like to call, minister of grace and human dignity.

Today Terry and I will attempt to tackle a most sensitive question: That is, how can detachment provide emotional sanity in an otherwise insane world? At first glimpse it would seem that to detach from your emotions might lead to a sort of callous and calculated mind, devoid of any compassion or empathy.

And in truth, if not managed well, detachment could indeed foster such problematic thinking. Still, I remain a strong advocate of healthy detachments. But those are the troubled waters Terry and I have chosen to swim today.
